Workshops Ericksonian Hypnosis and the Transformation of the Conscious Mind
A Special Workshop with Stephen Gilligan, Ph.D.

This workshop is a practical journey in how to experience the deepest parts of your being and, in the process, learn how to redesign your conscious mind to achieve generative results. It is a result of Dr. Gilligan's intensive work over the past 25 years in teaching and practicing hypnosis and other mindbody approaches in the areas of therapy, martial arts, performance arts, and professional training.

Most approaches to hypnosis suggest ways to avoid or bypass the conscious mind. Dr. Gilligan's generative program teaches you how to use trance and other hypnotic processes for both inner and outer change, especially by forming a working partnership between your creative unconscious and your conscious self. We will see how this partnership creates a third "generative self" that is both exceptionally productive and extremely happy.

Here's what you can expect to learn in this new workshop:
--how to detach from your conscious mind and develop a deep trance
--how to use that trance for recentering, revitalization, and generative change;
--how to recognize three different "levels" of the conscious mind--pre-ego, ego, and post-ego-and study how they work, grow, and think.
--how to use trance to identify what is happening at each level of your conscious mind when you are stuck.
--how to fashion a deep partnership between your unconscious and conscious minds;
--how to transform your relationship with the inner and outer "enemies" (e.g., problems, difficult people, traumas) you've been defending yourself against;
--how to use the generative self in both professional and personal situations
--how to use the material to heal lifelong wounds, improve competencies, develop deep intimacies, and generate transpersonal experiences.

Being in this program, you can expect both to experience many experiential shifts, and to acquire models of how such transformational change can be developed in other areas. Hypnotic language, hypnotic experience, hypnotic influence, and hypnotic delight will all be vital to the workshop.
