

| Workshops | Ericksonian Hypnosis and the Generative Self: A Special 3-day Training With Stephen Gilligan, Ph.D. This special personal development seminar promises be an extraordinary event. Participants will become deeply grounded in the principles, practices, and methods of hypnotic process, and learn to apply them in a variety of ways. The epistemology and practice of generative change will be emphasized throughout, with the material always being presented on multiple cognitive and experiential levels. The first part of the course will emphasize the induction principles of accepting and utilizing. We will examine how any experiential reality may be entered, supported, and modified. Multiple induction techniques will be presented and practiced. The second part of the course will be on special ways to utilize hypnotic states, including changing problems, future orientation, reorganizing relationships, and self-relations psychotherapy. You will learn how to use trance for significant life changes. A third emphasis will be on advanced and generative approaches. The focus here will be on "externally oriented" trances, deep trance identification, trance and healing states, and Bateson's level III change. Special topics include: --multiple induction techniques The training is intended to be experiential, dynamic, and personal. You will be encouraged to use it to make deep personal changes in your life, so that you can appreciate from the inside-out how powerful Erickson's approach to hypnotic experience can be.
