For the 16th year, Skyote Mountain hosts a supervision group with Stephen Gilligan.  This 3 1/2 day intensive community inspires breakthroughs at both personal and professional levels. We will generate together a safe ritual space in which to explore both the technical and personal aspects of Self-Relations and hypnotic work. Steve will teach Self-relations psychotherapy through lecture, demonstration, small-group exercises and therapy work in the center of the group.

Participants may do personal work, invite clients for a consultation session, or set up a role-playing experience. In each case, a therapist, a client, and Steve Gilligan work as a trio. We especially focus on entering the “living” relational field that allows therapists and clients to work together in a parallel process linked by experiential-somatic-cognitive conversations for change. Everyone has a chance to work, with some in the center of the circle, and others more privately within groups of three. Self-Relations supervision groups are legendary in their capacity to nurture and awaken your soul into action.

Poetry, Play, and Pantry
Expect poetry and music and dancing. Bring your drum or other musical instruments if you have them. Healthy meals and snacks are provided. We will all share some cooking and clean-up duties, but these should be fairly light and non-intrusive, and provide a good opportunity to get to know each other. If you let us know in advance, we will try to respond to special dietary needs.

The workshop takes place at Skyote Mountain on 73 acres of redwood, fir, oak, and madrone forest in the Santa Cruz mountains, 20 minutes north of Santa Cruz, 25 minutes south of San Jose.

Accomodation Details:

Participants either commute locally, stay at the Best Western 10 minutes’ drive away or an airbnb, or stay on-site in our 21′ diameter yurt (room for 6) or in a tent (accommodations at Skyote are an extra fee).

The Sponsor Says:

Some of the participants in this group have been attending since 2002. Others started later and are now regular attendees. Each year there are new participants as well, and the group is a mix of therapists, coaches, various professionals working with others, and those who are just here for their own growth. The group is limited to 18 participants, and the setting is peaceful, on 73 acres of redwood, fir, oak, and madrone forest, in a strawbale, off-the-grid home and workshop space. Healthy meals and snacks are provided, and we can respond to most dietary needs if you let us know in advance.
